A Mineral Makeup GIVEAWAY!!!

One day I read on someone's blog about Mineral Makeup and decided to give it a try.  I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MINERAL MAKEUP!!  It has a way of covering things up that normal, cakey, liquid makeup can't.  It has a way of giving a beautiful, natural looking glow to your face that has people stopping and giving you compliments.... and us girls can never have too much of that!
Affordable Mineral Makeup

I was given some mineral makeup to review by {Jenni with Affordable Mineral Makeup}.  For having such great prices, the quality definitely earned an A+ from me!  I love the selection and love even more that there is shimmery stuff!!!  I am a firm believer that wearing shimmer sends uplifting vibes into the world.... and we all know we can't have enough of that!!!!

My favorite thing EVER that she sent to me was the Satin Lip Gloss.... HEAVENLY!  I love the feel of satin and on my lips is even better!!

I LOVE Mineral Makeup, but one thing I don't like about the stuff is the price. The price can be a killer, but luckily there is some pretty dang good stuff out there.... and AFFORDABLE!!! I'm hinting towards my husband here for my stocking! Maybe you should hint to yours!!

OR you can just head over to {HERE} let me know exactly what you would like to win in a comment here and you can be entered in to win a grab bag of samples from Affordable Mineral Makeup!!

I've so wanted to try mineral makeup. I just don't know where to start. Reading her site makes it sound less confusing than I thought it might be. I also have a teenage daughter who would love this as well. Thanks for your blog. - Kahty

Kathy, glad to hear that you are feeling less overwhelmed after reading my blog. I also offer a tweens/teen blog that may be a little young for your daughter (depending on what age teen she is) but she might enjoy some of the makeup articles there too.

Just a note, the company I represent is called Affordable Mineral Makeup™ (not just Affordable Makeup). Thanks! :)

I would like to try mineral makeup but haven't because of the cost. I actually don't use makeup because it makes me brake out. But I've heard mineral makeup is different and can hep your complexion. I need help with that! I look like a teenager!

I would love to try this mineral make-up. The foundations #1 and #5 both look good as does the Smooch and Drench.

Thank you for doing this.

I have had some reservations about powder makeup in the past but this looks awesome! There is one sample, the Holiday color, that really draws my eye :)

Thanks to sweet Jenni I found your blog!! I love the layout...very good taste:) I currently use the Mineral Foundation from AMM and I LOVE it. I mix two colors together to get my perfect color. I have also had many friends switch on over to AMM because of me, which has been awesome. I love being green especially when it comes to makeup:)

Chocolateflower, I was the same way, would break out horribly and any makeup I tried, even "hypo-allergenic" ones still made me react worse. I tried mineral makeup for the first time when I was pregnant with my youngest son and had a terrible hormone-related rash on my cheeks that was painful to the touch and looked embarrasing. I was just looking for something to let me walk out the door without feeling so self-cousious of the ugly rash. I was amazed not only by the coverage, but to find that it didn't irritate but actually soothed my skin. Within 2 weeks the rash that couldn't even be cured with perscription treatments was totally healed just by wearing minerals!
The only thing I found was to be careful about companies that use additives like Bismuth (can be an irritant) or filled like talc or cornstarch (can harbor bacteria and cause new outbreaks later on). Since AMM is just pure minerals, now all I have to do is keep my makeup brush clean (I clean it about once a week - instuctions on how to clean are posted on my blog) and for me it was important to choose a synthetic hair brush as I react to the natural animal hairs in some brushes.
I can tell a huge difference in the condition of my skin when I use good mineral makeup on a daily basis or when I start to let too many days slide. I use it more for the skin benefit than for "makeup" or beauty purposes, but it is fun to play with the colors and techniques for all of that too. :)

It's so hard to choose just one product, but I really love the Pearlescent Multipurpose Minerals in the shades Amethyst & Alive. As well as Nava & Mayan. The colors are gorgeous!

Thanks for the chance!
