Potty Training at its FINEST

I have got to say.... having a puppy and a toddler together is one big fricking circus in this house!
The dog is pretty much potty trained.
I can't even begin to describe the excitement in my soul about this!
The toddler is in potty training process....
It's going well....
She actually went by herself yesterday, and decided to not put on her pullup
Instead just the pajama pants...
and I had NO. I-DEA.......
until droplets of poop starts coming out of the bottom of her pants in the kitchen.
After rushing her to toilet and then back to clean up the poop,
I found it had already been cleaned up for me...
by the puppy....

When the Dog's Got the Runs..... {lovely post, I know!}

I'm just gonna come out and say that NOTHING..... NOOOOOOOTHING is worse than a dog w/the runs. Talk about DISGUSTINGNESS in your home. Sorry for the TMI, but I've been dealing with it and it's been HORRIBLE.

So in my search for a remedy I turned my plea to Twitter... and {@ToBeThode} or for her blog {CLICK HERE} recommended Canned, pure pumpkin.... holy cow bells, people (or tweeple if you're peekin in from Twitter)IT WORKS! It really, really works!!!!!

So, next time your dog has the runs.... MIX PUMPKIN IN WITH THE FOOD. And that is all :)

For other things as awesome or even awesomer {it is a word... if it's on my blog it's a word!} {CLICK HERE}

And come join me on Monday for {Just a Motivating Monday}... an inspirational blog carnival.

I crate my dog... and here is why

I don't know what most people's thoughts are on crated their dogs, but I'll just come right out and say I AM A CRATER! I believe that for the safety of my dog and my house when we are upstairs or out of the house our dog needs to be in her crate.

I'm sure there are a million people that will tell me how cruel I am and whatnot, and that's fine... you do one thing with your dog and I do another with mine... and let me tell you why.

Last night I was upstairs and my friend went to Taco Bell. Instead of being put in her crate our dog was left downstairs and the baby gate was put up as to ensure that she didn't come upstairs. My son comes upstairs to inform me that we have termites and they have made a hole in the wall. I dismiss it as 'where in the heck has this kid been? that hole has been there for almost 2 years!' (Yes, we have a small hole at the bottom of the stairs where an unknown person kicked in.... family drama blah... I have an idea but whatever...different story).

He grabbed my hand and drug me downstairs for me to find the complete horror that awaited me.
Yes, that is a flipping hole that my dog somehow made in my wall. How? I have no idea. Pissed? Yes, I most definitely am! There was no small hole for this dog to even begin this with, so I am still completely baffled. My thoughts, are that maybe there previously was a hole before we moved in, it was patched and it was easy for her to break through. This took place right by the baby gate, which brings me to believe that she was trying to claw her way around the gate to get upstairs.

I'm still completely speechless.

When my friend, Jenise, got home from Taco Bell this is how she found Sophie. Nobody said anything to her, she just KNEW that she did MAJOR WRONG!

And this is why I crate... do you blame me?

My Mother's Day...

Mother's Day.... HEAVEN! I absolutely love being at the coast. It's gorgeous, peaceful, and it's a place I'd honestly like to see myself living at one day. I don't know, it may happen... it may not. That's the beauty of life. The only thing truly stopping me from packing up and picking my new home is the fact that there's no Home Depot on the Oregon coast.... and Home Depot is a necessity in our life, because that is our source of health insurance... cardiac baby MUST have health insurance.

We camped literally right in front of the beach. We were in my Grandma's RV and I'd sit in the passenger seat and watch the whales blow the water up and flip their tails (or fins... whatever) out of the water. It was absolutely amazing to me!! I can't believe how close those whales actually get to the shore! What a great experience!!

So, here's a picture of the view from the RV

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures with my Grandma, but she was there. It was a nice little get away for us all... much needed! We really don't live too far away from the coast, but we rarely go... usually just once a year. I want to start going more often. I want to take advantage of the beauty that's just around the corner. I'd LOVE to take a trip up 101 for a couple of weeks and get to see all of the Oregon coast... it's just so beautiful.

Of course I have a few pictures to show. I'm not going to overwhelm my blog with a million pictures, but these are a few of my favorites

I haven't talked much about her, but this is our love Sophie.... I actually love her - shocking! I know, I know, she looks like a pit, but she's NOT! She's an Olde English Bulldog :)

Jayden FINALLY got to make smores, which is something this kid has been wanting to do for a REALLY long time. Jayden picked out a little chest for me, I'm thinking I might be keeping things he makes me in it. It's special, because he had to get it for me.... there was no talking him out of it, and that's the best!

I'm so thankful to be a mom, and I'm thankful to have 2 of the most special little souls I've ever encountered. I love my life, I love my children, and I love my husband.... I'm forever grateful for the way things have turned out for me.

Things I Love Thursday - Roomba

The Diaper Diaries is an absolutely fabulous blog, and every once in a while I jump on her carnival of Thing I Love Thursday. I don't like to tell people I love something unless I truly love something.

I truly, whole heartedly am head over heels in love with Roomba. Roomba does AMAZING things in this house. My floors are almost always clean. The best is when your kids have spilled gold fish right before bed and then stepped on them and when you wake up..... there gone. And you have this smile on your face, because you didn't have to push around this vacuum whispering profanities to yourself about why in the world you would even think about handing that toddler a cup of goldfish.

Almost a week ago we got a puppy. We've named her Sophie, and I sometimes want to scream, because let's face it.... puppies are HARD! But, my house still has this freshness to it, and I think I owe that to Roomba. No matter what, Roomba comes out and makes life better and easier for me. I've actually really come to love the little guy.... I'm talking about Roomba.

Don't forget to GO HERE for my giveaway. It ends Friday night @ 9:00pm PST. Get you're entries in... and don't forget to read about how to get a double entry.
